As human beings, we all commit mistakes, stumble, fail often and
worry too much about different happenings of our life. Yet some of us succeed in life, some of us quit along the way, and some of us merely exists for the sake of living.

When it comes to our attitude towards life, there are different types:

Most people living today have no idea where they are going with their lives or what they are doing with their lives. They have no vision, no dreams, no goals and no desire...All they do have is some sort of wishful thinking and hope that someday in the future they will become successful. They wanted to survive and take care of their family, earn a living and pass on to the future generations.Because that's what society taught them about life. They keep waiting throughout their life expecting some miracles or magic to happen that will turn their life the way they want to live it. But never exists in reality. They let their lives to be directed by the environment and circumstances. They keep waiting for the right time to make the move...When things happen that they don't like, they start pointing fingers at other peoples for their misfortunes and bad luck. Also they don’t forget to curse their fate and even god. They live in mediocrity, finally die and decay just like trees, stones, animals and other creatures.

Some people have dreams, but they lack the will power and desire to pursue it. These kinds of people know about their talents and passion, but they never work on it nor find any way to bring it out and show its magnificence to the world. As the fear of failure pulls them from behind, they give up and settle for mediocrity.

Another kind of people does have both dreams and a desire to achieve it. They keep moving and consistently take actions until they meet the first obstacle or the smallest problems along the way. They take their eyes off from their goals at this point, so they see the obstacle in front of them. They stumble and keep thinking about the difficulty to overcome the problems. Some will retreat and few still move ahead until the greatest failure happens. The sad fact is that these people give up when they are very closer to success. When they come across the biggest failure, they retreat. This could be the reason why most people are living failures.

Most of us have a false belief that successful people are there because of luck or good circumstances or talented or gifted...we can find countless number of excuses and reasons.

But what most people don't realize is that "The steering hands of life is in their own hands, and each individual's life is headed to the direction that they set by themselves. If they don't know where they are going, their life will wander aimlessly in the vast ocean of space-time continuum.'Some 'sink' and some 'survives' until they die in the end,being of no use to anyone as well as to themselves."


However, the least category of the people are the ones who really make use of their given opportunity called life. They fail more number of times than we ever could imagine, stumble more often, and at times even get thrown away from their path to success. But these people always BOUNCE BACK even stronger than ever before and 'KEEP MOVING FORWARD!' because they know where they are going in this short life. And what mostly contribute to their success is their tremendous WILL-POWER and a NEVER-ENDING COMMITMENT TO ACT UNTIL THEY ACHIEVE!

They dream BIG DREAMS and take action continuously for its accomplishment. They DEVELOP THE COURAGE to do things that most people are not willing to do. So they qualified to live a life that only few people can afford to have.

They learn from every happenings of their lives because they've conditioned their mind over time to learn at least something very important from even the worst of the worst happenings of their lives.They never look for the negative side of the problem, instead they question themselves:

'What can I learn from this problem, so that it will strengthen me to overcome the largest obstacles ahead of my path and conquer my goals'

'What's the REWARD of this problem?'

How can I get benefited from this problem?'

When they ask these questions, they are actually activating some mysterious positive forces in this universe that pulls them towards the success that they are aspiring for. They allow their brain to think and find a solution.Finally they win.

However, the primary winner's attitude is this:

"If there is no way, FIND A WAY! and if you can't find a way, MAKE A WAY!!!"

They realize that success always comes just one step ahead of what it looks like the biggest failure!

It is in fact, the people who possess these type of attitude are the ones who create their own luck, their own opportunity and their own destiny!There are no secret codes to success.

This is how you can become Successful in Life!

Why only few peoples are very successful and so many peoples are living failures, what differentiate those few peoples from the rest of the crowd. Of-course they are not 'born-successful' or born with 'silver-spoon' in their mouth, majority of the cases. So then what makes them successful???

You might be thinking right now: ' They are successful because of LUCK, or God might have written the FATE of each human being on their skull before they born, or they are willing to take RISKS by putting their life into big troubles, or they are unethical in the way they live, or they are successful because they have the support and guidance from great peoples who already became successful, or they are using their ancestor's properties and power to be successful...the EXCUSES and REASONS can goes on and on like this endlessly!

...In the journey of life, many peoples wander through aimlessly not knowing where they want to go or what they have to do with their life,for them everyday is boring and useless.  finally they end up becoming a burden for our mother earth and all they've achieved in life is a huge collection of problems, misery,and pain.These peoples live their life equivalent to living dead. 

Some peoples know deep in their heart, that they love something..they love to do, be and have certain unique things, but they are not willing to take any action about it. Always they think like: Oh! how can I pursue it, I don't know...What if I fail, could I be wasting my time...No, better to give up all those goals, and I have to take care of my family and to 'SETTLE' for a small 'COMFORTABLE' life! finally these peoples are forced to adjust with their circumstances and fighting with their day to day problems...At last they end up becoming nothing and during their last days they REGRET by thinking like this: 'Oh, What if I followed my dreams, what if I accomplished all the things that I've ever wanted..What if I contributed in someways to the world...I would've lived an awesome life! Now there is no time left, my days are counted...I have wasted the biggest gift called LIFE by settling to mediocrity! If I get one more CHANCE to live...!!! But you know, ITS NEVER POSSIBLE.

All the successful peoples know this, they know what they want to accomplish and where they want to go. They have clearly written specific goals and plans for the achievement of their ultimate goals. every single day they move 1% towards their ultimate dreams by taking simple action steps.They always do what they love to do and they never give up on their dreams they are action oriented.

Each and every one of us have only one chance to live the life that we have always wanted to live, and always dreamed of. We never get a second chance to live it fully. So the choice is always up to us!!! 

We have the TIME now and we are alive, Don't let the biggest REGRET overtakes you during your last day on this planet. If you are a kind of person forced to settle in life, whatever problems you might be facing right now..realize that it's nothing but just an ILLUSION, Make a decision to live your life at its fullest, no matter what happens in your life, you're in charge and you've full control over your life. Believe in yourself, anything(realistic) is possible for those who refuse to give up and have the courage to pursue it. never ever expect that your life will magically turn around the way you think someday, it will never happen unless you take necessary action by setting proper GOALS. And always remind yourself-"If you believe YOU CAN or if you believe YOU CAN'T, in both ways you're almost right"-Henry Ford.
 

Ultimately, it is the FAITH that moves mountain of OBSTACLES from your path. you must have FAITH-just trusting completely that things will work out the way you want.And more often than not, it does. With that faith,you will take that first step and keep taking action, despite the fact you may not be seeing results. This will encourage you to take action towards your goals.With this mindset you will turn your impossible dreams into a reality.

Why is it important to develop a BURNING DESIRE to become successful in life?

Recently I’ve read a great book ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, I have no words to explain about the power of this book! It reveals some of the greatest secrets of successful people, how they convert their dreams into a reality. Anyone who desires to become rich or successful in life, then this book is a MUST read. When you read this book, you’ll be exposed to some mysterious power just like I’ve experienced. However, the book was written long years back, the knowledge and wisdom in this book is eternal and powerful beyond measures.

In this post, I would like to share one great lesson I’ve learned from the book-Think and Grow Rich, which I thought everyone must be aware of. It’s about developing a BURNING DESIRE to win. If you develop this quality, then no obstacles can stop you from achieving your dreams.

To understand the power of BURNING DESIRE, let us analyze three great stories. These are not merely stories, but the events really happened in the past and etched on the historical stone of accomplishments.

The man who desired to become the business partner of Thomas Alva Edison

Edwin C Barnes desire was not a hope! It was not a wish! But it was a keen pulsating DESIRE, which transcended everything else. It was DEFINITE. As he was going to Thomas A Edison’s office, while sitting in the train, his mind was at work. He saw himself standing in the presence of the great inventor. He heard himself asking Mr. Edison for an opportunity to carry out the one CONSUMING OBSESSION of his life, a BURNING DESIRE to become the business associate of Thomas A Edison.

Barnes did not get his partnership with Edison on his first interview. He did get a chance to work in the Edison’s offices, at a very nominal wage. He was content to start in the most mental work, as long as it provided an opportunity to take even one step toward his cherished goal. Five years passed before the chance he had been seeking made its appearance. During all those years not one ray of hope, not one promise of attainment of his desire had been held out to him. But something important was happening in Barnes’ mind. He was constantly intensifying his DESIRE to become the business associate of Edison.

To everyone except himself, he appeared only another normal cog in the Edison Business wheel, But in his own mind, HE WAS THE PARTNER OF EDISON EVERY MINUTE OF THE TIME, from the very first day that he went to work there.

When the opportunity came, it appeared in a different form, and from a different direction than Barnes had expected. Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Probably this is the reason why most of us fail to recognize opportunity. Mr. Edison had invented a new office device, at that time it was known as the Edison Dictating Machine (later known as the Edi-phone). Edison’s salesmen were not enthusiastic and interested over the machine. They didn’t believe it could be sold without great effort. Barnes saw his opportunity. It had crawled in quietly, hidden in an awkward looking machine which interested no one but Barnes and the inventor. Barnes knew that he could sell the Edison Dictating Machine. He suggested this to Edison, and promptly got his chance. In fact he sold it so successfully that Edison gave him a contract to distribute and market it all over the nation. Out of that business association grew the slogan, “Made by Edison and installed by Barnes.” 

Finally, Edwin C Barnes again stood before Edison, in the same office where he first met the inventor. This time his desire had been translated into reality! He was in business with Edison. THE DOMINATING DREAM OF HIS LIFE had become a reality.

It is a remarkable illustration of the power of a BURNING DESIRE. Barnes won his goal, because he wanted to be a business associate of Mr. Edison, more than he wanted anything else. He created a plan by which to attain the purpose. He BURNED ALL THE BRIDGES BEHIND HIM. So that he cannot step back, no matter what happens, He left himself no possible way of retreat, he had to WIN or PERISH!

If we develop such a kind of ‘DESIRE’, then nothing can stop us from achieving what we want in life.

Burn our ships

A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy’s country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, and then gave the order to BURN the ships that had carried them. Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, “You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We now have no choice-we win or we perish! And they won.

It was another example of a burning desire mind set. Anyone who goes for accomplishing great things in life must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat.

Another great story is as follows

 The Chicago fire

The morning after the great Chicago fire, a group of merchants stood on State Street, looking at the remains of what had been their stores. They went into a conference to decide if they would try to rebuild, or leave Chicago and start over in a more promising section of the country. They reached a decision all except one-to leave Chicago.

The merchant who decided to stay and rebuild pointed a finger at the remains of his store, and said, “Gentlemen, on that very spot I’ll build the world’s greatest store, no matter how many times it may burn down.”

The store was built. It stands their today, a towering monument to the power of that state of mind known as a BURNING DESIRE. The easy thing for Marshal Field to have done would’ve been exactly what his fellow merchants did. When the going was hard, and the future looked dismal, they pulled up and went where the going seemed easier.

From the above three stories, we can clearly understand the difference between ordinary people and extraordinary people. Extraordinary people always have a burning desire to win and succeed, no matter what happens along the way. It is the same difference which distinguishes practically all who succeed from those who fail.

As the saying goes “Obstacles are those frightful things that you see, when you take your eyes off from your goals.” To develop a burning desire, we must always focus on our goals, not the obstacles along the way. People, who develop a burning desire, understand that the obstacles and failures are in fact stepping stones to their success. They believe that every failure makes them stronger and in every problems there is an opportunity hidden, when unleashed can create astounding results of success.

So anyone who develops this powerful state of mind is guaranteed to succeed in his/her life. In order to avoid retreat, we must burn all the sources behind us, so that we’ll be having no choice other than to win or perish! This is the greatest secret of all achievements and success.
